Properly selected, a book holder can reduce and sometimes even eliminate hand, wrist, arm and neck fatigue for readers, protect the book it holds, and protect the reader’s privacyfrom prying eyes. While book holders may be a necessity for readers facing certain disabilities, most readers believe they don’t really “need” a book holder. And there are designs to be secured to a table, counter top or desk to support a book weighing up to five pounds while freeing up valuable work space. These are particularly useful for cook books, repair manuals, user guides, instruction or installation manuals and other books you need to keep readily visible when working, but where work surface is at a premium.
